This a representation of Platon's old Cavern Myth:
"Some people are attached on the wall of a cave and can't see outside
are figuring out the world after the shadows that they see on the
walls. What are these things, what are those creatures that change
shape as they move ?"
This myth questions the reality of the world as we perceive it. It's
a kind of "Matrix" from the antiquity. :-)

I consider that nanotechnologies will make a great change for us in the future.
This image shows two CK335 (Cancer Killer type of bots) analysing human organism
in search for cancerous cells.
You can see the three cranted wheels they use for moving and the round pod at the
rear which is the analysis pod. When a anomalous cell is found, the pod retracts
and injects a deadly poison into the cell.

This image depicts what could be called conscious auto-decaying.
It makes a parallel between the smokers that spoil their own body and
human kind that spoils its own planet which is as much essential to its
survival.
Both do it because in some ways it's good until the point when it's not
anymore, and then it's always the same "If I had known ..."
The thing is that we know ...
I centered the hole on the US because the states are the biggest source
of pollution on earth, but we should be all conscious that everyone in
the so called developped countries is polluting too much.

This is a very literal interpretation of the theme. I wanted to do an
image that would really bring to mind the concept of decay to someone
looking at it.

 | My vision of surrealism is some kind of sensual humour.
I couldn't find more sensual subject than human body ...
This represents a humouristic vision of human body.

People from outer space come to visit us, and unfortunately they find this
photo:
War is a mystery to them.

I always think we tend to limit history to the last few thousand years
when not the last few centuries. I think this is unfair as many many
things we have today come from remote ages, from fire, language to the
animals and plants that where domesticated some 10000 years ago and that
feed us.
So, this picture represents the ancestor technology of what we all do
with graphics : ancient art.
I added the Povray logo as a link to the modern graphic technologies as
if the painter had foreseen it.
It is a humble homage to all these great anonymous people.
